Flint Firebirds 2017-18 Promotional Schedule

Flint, Mich. – The Flint Firebirds have announced the 2017-18 promotional schedule, which includes theme nights, giveaways, community nights and special events.

The “Firebirds Family 4 Pack” sponsored by Dort Federal Credit Union returns for another season for every Sunday home game.The package features 4 Silver Level reserved tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas, 2 game programs and 2 game pucks, a value of $120 for $76. Fans are encouraged to purchase this package in advance to avoid box office lines. Sunday also marks the Firebirds first KIDS FREE day compliments of Aquafina. All kids 12-under will receive a free game ticket with adult purchase. This promotion is valid for all price levels. The Firebirds’ fan-friendly home slate this season has seven “College Night” games, featuring $2 beers and $2 hot dogs for all fans in attendance, including $2 off tickets for college students, with valid identification.

“Flex Plans” are available for fans that cannot commit to all 34 home games but wish to pre-purchase for a discount at the Dort Federal Event Center.  With Firebirds’ “Flex Plans” or “Anytime Vouchers,” you can select the games you like based upon your schedule! For example, a “Flex 10” package can be redeemed for 10 seats at 1 game, 5 seats at 2 games, or 2 seats at 5 games. “Flex Plan” vouchers are redeemable at the Dort Federal Event Center box office for any 2017-18 Firebirds’ regular season home game.

Single game tickets for all Firebirds games are $12 / Bronze, $16 / Silver, $20 / Gold and $26 / VIP seating (Seating Chart). All seats are reserved / assigned seating.   • Sat., Sep. 30 – 3rd annual “Opening Night” in Flint:
    • All fans in attendance receive free rally towels (Dort Federal Credit Union)

October

  • Wed., Oct. 11 – College Night:
    • $2 Beers & Hot Dogs for All Fans.
    • $2 off college student ticket with valid ID.
  • Sat., Oct. 14 – First Responders Night:
    • All first responders receive a $5 discount off a Silver Level ticket, with valid ID
    • Thunder Stix for the first 2,000 fans, sponsored by Dort Federal Credit Union
  • Sun., Oct. 15 – Hot Wing’s Birthday / Family 4 Pack:
    • Free Hot-Wing puzzles and birthday cupcakes for the first 1,000 fans
    • Balloon twisting and face painting for all children
    • Family 4 Pack: 4 Silver Level tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas, 2 game programs and 2 game pucks, a value of $120 for $76.
  • Sat., Oct. 21 – Face-Off Against Breast Cancer (Pink Out):
    • Themed Pink Jersey
    • Post-game live jersey auction to benefit the McLaren Flint Foundation
  • Sun., Oct. 22 – Family 4 Pack Night:
    • 4 Silver Level tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas, 2 game programs and 2 game pucks, a value of $120 for $76.
    • Kids Free with adult purchase
      • 12 and under. Up to two kids per adult is permitted
  • Sat., Oct. 28 – Halloween Trick-or-Treat at the Rink:
    • Kids in costume receive free admission with adult purchase
    • Complimentary candy collecting bag can be picked up at guest services
    • Trick-or-treat on concourse throughout game
    • On ice costume parade with prizes
    • Complimentary balloon twister and face painter for all children

November

  • Fri., Nov. 3 – Mickey Redmond Night:
    • Hall-of-Famer, Detroit Red Wing & FOX Sports Detroit Analyst Mickey Redmond will be signing autographs
    • The First 2,000 fans through the door will receive a free Mickey Redmond autograph card
  • Sat., Nov. 11 – Military Appreciation Day (3:00 PM)
    • Complimentary Silver Level tickets are available for all veterans and active duty military personnel
    • First 2,000 fans receive official team poster calendar
    • Silent auction of 10 military themed Firebirds’ jerseys on the concourse throughout the game
    • Military discount for Firebirds’ spirit wear at the merchandise store
    • Live ‘swearing in’ ceremony on the ice during the first intermission
    • Military vehicles will be on display
    • Firebirds’ military t-shirt will be available for sale at the merchandise store
  • Wed., Nov. 15 – School Day Game (11:00 AM)
  • Sat., Nov. 18 – Hockey, Heels & Lipstick (Ladies Night)
    • 2-for-1 Silver Level tickets for all ladies
    • First 500 ladies receive a Firebirds’ branded stemless wine glass
    • A complimentary women’s expo on the concourse throughout the game
    • Drink Specials for all women in attendance
  • Sun., Nov. 19 – Family 4 Pack Day
    • 4 Silver Level tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 sodas, 2 game programs and 2 game pucks, a value of $120 for $76.
    • Kids Free with adult purchase.

  • Wed., Nov. 22 – Stuff the Truck for Catholic Charities & College Night
    • Fans who bring in 5 canned goods or non-perishable food items will receive a complimentary Silver Level ticket, limit one-per-fan, with all proceeds benefiting the Catholic Charities.

  • Sun., Nov. 26 – Family Day

    • Fans are encouraged to bring stuffed animals to launch onto ice after the Firebirds first goal
    • All stuffed animals to benefit Ennis Center for Children, Hurley Medical Center, Michigan State Police and the Whaley Children’s Center.
    • Former Detroit Red Wing & 4 Time Stanley Cup Champion to sign autographs for fans from 6-7:30pm

    • There will be authentic custom CCM player backpack’s with a minimum cash value of $250 worth of donations inside each bag from local sponsors on the arena concourse.
      • There will be a silent auction for each of the backpack’s with the starting bid listed at $200. The backpack’s will be stitched with each Flint Firebirds player’s number and last name in addition to the Firebirds’ logo. A donation of $100 can feed a child for an entire school year.

    • “Boots for Kids” is a donation drive that will take place on February 2nd, 14th and 23rd. Fans can donated a pair of boots to the Firebirds’ Merchandise Store to receive a complimentary sponsored silver level ticket.
    • Valentine’s Day = Date Night
    • $2 Beers & Hot Dogs for All Fans.
    • $2 off college student ticket with valid ID.
  • Sat., Feb 17 – Tropics Night
    • The Firebirds will be wearing special “Flint Tropics” jersey’s from the movie ‘Semi-Pro’ starring Will Ferrell that fans can bid on in a live jersey auction immediately after the game.
    • Durand High School Marching Band Performance
  • Fri., Feb 23 – EMS Appreciation Night / HAP “Boots for Kids”
    • All Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel will receive a complimentary sponsored silver level ticket with valid ID.

March

  • Sat., Mar 3 – Gordie Howe Tribute Night / Police Appreciation / Overager Night
    • Murray Howe Signing of Book “Nine Lessons”
    • Team poster giveaway & player signing following the game
    • All police personnel will receive a complimentary sponsored silver level ticket with valid ID.
    • The Firebirds three “Overagers,” Maurizio Colella, Garrett Forrest and Jalen Smereck will be honored
  • Sat., Mar 10 – Fire / Host Family Appreciation / Whaley’s Night
    • All firefighter’s personnel will receive a complimentary sponsored silver level ticket with valid ID.
    • The host family’s of the Firebirds’ players will be honored and recognized
  • Wed., Mar 14 – “Talk Today” / College Night
    • $2 Beers & Hot Dogs for All Fans.
    • $2 off college student ticket with valid ID.
