Video: Barrie’s productive start lifts Colts’ over Firebirds Saturday

Flint, Mich. – The Barrie Colts scored three goals in a 1:40 span in the first period Saturday night en-route to a 5-1 victory over the Firebirds at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center. Jack Phibbs scored the Firebirds’ lone goal, Ty Dellandrea (Dallas Stars) extended his point-streak to three games and┬áLuke Cavallin made 30 saves on 32 shots after relieving Anthony Popovich at 7:36 of the opening frame who made two saves on five shots.

Next up for Flint, the Firebirds are home for a pair of games this weekend. Friday, Flint hosts Mississauga for ‘810 Night’ and Saturday the Greyhounds are in town for ‘Military Appreciation Night.’ Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. (ET) for both games.
