Promotions: Firebirds Host First Responders Appreciation Night Saturday

The Firebirds return home to Flint this Saturday for the club’s 5th-annual “First Responders Night” sponsored by Dort Federal Credit Union. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. (ET) at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center and great seats are still available!

Join us in thanking all first responders for their dedication to our community. First responders with valid identification will receive a complimentary ticket at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center box office courtesy of Dort Federal Credit Union, The DM Burr Group, Kodiak Emergency Vehicles, The View Newspaper Group, Complete Towing and Williams Gun Sight Company.

Also, admission to the Firebirds’ game earns fans a ticket to the ‘Battle of the Badges’ game between the Police & Firefighters that takes place beginning at 4 p.m. with doors set to open at 3:30 p.m.

After the ‘Battle of the Badges’ game is the Firebirds’ ‘Touch a Truck’ event from 5:00pm – 6:30pm inside the Dort Federal Event Center’s Arena 2! Fire trucks, police cars and emergency medical service (EMS) ambulance vehicles will be available for the public to observe and experience. Fans will be able to enter and explore the vehicles and display trailers. Hands on demonstration, giveaway items and training from various participating fire responder branches will take place throughout the event. Event participants include the City of Burton Fire Department, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Elite EMS, Genesee County Medical Control Authority, Genesee County Sheriff’s department, Grand Blanc Township Fire Department, Grand Blanc Township Police, Metro Police Authority, Michigan State Police, Mobile Medical Response (MMR), Swartz Ambulance Services.

All proceeds from the 50-50 raffle will benefit The Hundred Club of Genesee, Shiawassee and Lapeer Counties which is an organization of Genesee, Shiawassee and Lapeer County residents who contribute money each year for the benefit of public servants who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty. These include: Police Officers Firefighters FBI agents Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agents Drug Enforcement Administration agents

Single game tickets for all Firebirds games are $12 for Bronze, $16 for Silver, $20 for Gold and $26 for VIP seating (Seating Chart). All seats are reserved / assigned seating.
