Flint Firebirds defenceman Vladislav Kolyachonok finished his first season in North America and demonstrated a solid two-way game paired with some encouraging offensive upside.
The Belarusian rearguard was given ample ice time on a young Flint blue line and made an impression as the season wore on. He finished up with 30 points (4-26–30) in 54 games.
NHL Central Scouting describes Kolyachonok as a “very smart player with efficient puck skills, is poised and patient with the puck and is able to make plays. He sorts out options very well, is strong on his skates and is a very efficient skater with excellent mobility.”
Kolyachonok is the 31st ranked North American skater on NHL Central Scouting’s Final Draft Rankings.
